The Paper Samurai

Have you ever felt that something wasn't right, but that you were too young, or too small, or too afraid to do something about it? If so, then you know how Hana and Aiko, the main characters in this book, must have felt before they found the courage to stand up to wrong and make things right.

When Hana and Aiko discover a plot to trick a working family out of its treasured heirlooms, they know it is time to spring into action; but, with the adults in their lives very busy or sick, they must find a friend to help them to set things right. Armed only with simple tools and Hana's grandfather's stories, the friends have a lot to do before the villains heist the heirlooms out of the village and into the city.

Not all battles end in the spilling of blood Hana-san.
